Our partner local agency is a leading media publisher for tourism information on Japan doubled as an online travel agency, crafting hundreds of tailor-made experiences through Japan for all travelers around the world. They represent a one-stop experience that provides all the information and tools to discover, plan and book a trip to Japan.
We are looking for an experienced and motivated German-speaking sales agent to join our partner agency’s team in Japan. You will manage travelers' requests via the Evaneos platform and you will be the main contact for travelers in the German market. With its network of over 1000 partner local travel agencies in more than 160 destinations, Evaneos participates in the recruitment of sales agents for its partner agencies. Reporting to Colas, you will be responsible for the German market. Your main missions will be:
🕵️ Advising customers to offer them a tailor-made trip that meets their expectations
Getting in touch with travelers through the Evaneos platform
Understanding travelers' expectations and specific needs
Providing travelers with guidance regarding destinations, cultures, traditions, and activities
🧳 Managing all the practical aspects of the trip
Matching travelers' requirements with transportation, accommodation, insurance, tours, and activities according to their budget
Handling booking management for hotels and activities
Billing the travelers
🌟 Ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the trip
Being the local point of contact for travelers throughout their trip
Performing quality monitoring during the trip
Handling travel issues, conflicts, complaints, cancellations, and refunds

✅ Core skills
Native or near-native German and English proficiency, both verbal and written
Currently based in Japan or planning to come to Japan in the near future
Experience in customer service
Previous experience in the travel/tourism industry is a plus
Strong interest in Japan, including knowledge of travel infrastructure around Japan (experience/location recommendations, JR Pass limitations, etc.) is preferred
Capacity to work on-site and remotely, with a reliable network connection capable of smoothly running meeting apps such as Zoom and work chat apps such as Slack
Ability to work both independently and within an international team
