Descriptif du poste

We are looking for an experienced Sales Manager to lead and energize an international sales team based in Bali. This role is primarily focused on the French-speaking market and requires full professional fluency in French and English.

Based on-site in Denpasar, you will report directly to the General Manager and take ownership of the agency's commercial development in Indonesia. You will manage a team of 5 to 10 travel designers — a mix of local and expatriate profiles — overseeing performance, processes, and client satisfaction from end to end.

This is a leadership role for someone who combines a genuine passion for travel with strong commercial instincts and team management experience. Open to expatriates, with priority given to candidates already based in Bali.


💼 Your main missions

🧭 Sales & customer support

  • Lead and animate a team of travel designers to ensure high-quality, personalized service to French-speaking travelers.

  • Monitor and drive monthly sales performance, setting clear objectives and following up on results.

  • Optimize lead conversion by coaching the team on sales techniques and improving response quality.

  • Participate in the design and updating of travel products and circuits to keep the offer competitive and inspiring.

  • Develop B2B relationships with platforms, partner agencies, and tour operators to expand the agency's commercial network.

💼 Operations & practical management

  • Supervise the full travel design process, from first inquiry to final confirmation, ensuring quality and consistency.

  • Train and support the sales team on CRM tools and internal processes to improve efficiency.

  • Analyze market trends and propose concrete commercial actions to support growth.

  • Coordinate with the General Manager on strategic priorities and commercial reporting.

🌟 Customer care & quality during the trip

  • Ensure traveler satisfaction throughout the journey by maintaining high standards across all touchpoints.

  • Handle escalated issues, complaints, or unexpected situations with professionalism and calm.

  • Collect and channel client feedback to continuously improve the agency's offer and service quality.

Profil recherché

Core skills & experience

  • Proven experience in team management, ideally within a DMC, tour operator, or inbound travel agency.

  • Strong commercial mindset, with the ability to drive sales performance and motivate a team around clear objectives.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills — you are comfortable managing both clients and team members across different cultural backgrounds.

  • Highly organized and autonomous, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.

  • Genuine passion for outdoor and adventure travel: hiking, sea kayaking, diving/snorkelling — you live what you sell.

Bonus skills

  • Prior knowledge of or experience living in Indonesia.

  • Familiarity with CRM tools and travel management platforms.

  • Basic knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia.

Languages required

  • 🇫🇷 French — Native or C1 (required)

  • 🇬🇧 English — Full professional proficiency (required)

  • 🇮🇩 Bahasa Indonesia — A plus

Non-negotiables

  • Full professional fluency in both French and English is mandatory.

  • Must be based in Bali or willing to relocate to Bali (Indonesia) before the start date.

  • Experience in the tourism or travel industry is required.
